Weekday SchoolMount Vernon Weekday School The MV Weekday School has been serving the community's children for more than 35 years. The program is consistent with the best principles and purposes of early childhood education. Through play, children have the opportunity to develop intellectually and to acquire motor, language and social skills. The teacher provides structure through play centers and themes. All children are allowed to explore the center or theme at their own level. Music and outdoor play are an important aspect of the program. Classes are available for five days a week for 3- and 4-year-olds, three days a week and two days a week for 3-year-olds. Two-and-a-half year olds can come for a three-day or a two-day class. The school is an active participant in the local and state Association for the Education of Young Children. Enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year is ongoing.
